Black virgin PEEK Sheet Superior chemical resistance has allowed PEEK to work effectively as a metal/stainless steel replacement in harsh environments and has proven to be a reliable replacement for other materials that cost up to 10 times more. PEEK is a semi crystalline thermoplastic with high tensile strength, stiffness, good wear resistance, low coefficient of friction, excellent chemical resistance and very low moisture absorption. PEEK is considered an advanced biomaterial used in medical implants, e.g., use with a high-resolution MRI, for creating a partial replacement skull in neurosurgical applications. It is finding increased use in spinal fusion devices and reinforcing rods. It is extensively used in the aerospace, automotive, and chemical process industries
